The public consultation period closed on the 20th of December 2013 and since then we have been reviewing all the comments and feedback we received about the Draft Lydney Plan.  In total we received 155 comments and 16 Statutory Consultee responses ( all can be found HERE).

Work is now underway revising the Lydney Plan in light of the public consultation and statutory consultee feedback.

Once completed Lydney’s Neighbourhood Development Plan will be submitted to the Local Planning Authority, The Forest of Dean District Council (FoDDC), whom will check the Plan to make sure it meets the legal requirements identified in The Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012.  FoDDC will then publicise the Plan and invite people to make comments.  At the same time the FoDDC will also appoint an independent assessor to examine the plan and make sure the Plan meets the criteria set down in Schedule 4B of The Town and Country  Planning Act 1990 as amended by The Localism Act 2011

The Independent assessor will either:

1. Refuse the Plan

2.  Pass the Plan

3. Pass the Plan with modifications
